SFDC Report: LinkedIn Activities grouped by Sales Rep

Purpose

This report will show you each individual sales rep's activity on LinkedIn, broken down by the activity type. It is useful if you want to know for each sales rep:

  • How many connection requests did they send?
  • How many connection requests were accepted?
  • How many messages did they send?
  • How many messages were accepted?
  • etc.

Instructions

The instructions below detail how to build a report to show connection requests sent and connection requests accepted. If you want to see more activity types, refer to the section below.

When creating a new report, set the type to Tasks and Events (2) under Activities (1). Click Start Report (3).

Click the report dropdown (1) and make it a Joined Report (2).

Click on the edit icon and rename the block to LI Connection Request .

You would name this something else if you were measuring a different activity type.

Click Add Block (1), select Task and Events (2), and add the block (3).

Scroll to the right, and rename the new block LI Connection Request Accepted .

You would name this something else if you were measuring a different activity type.

Group the blocks to Assigned .

Click on Filters (1). For both blocks, show All activities (2), optionally change the time period (3), and show Completed Activities (4).

For the LI Connection Request block, add a filter for Comments .


Change the operator to Contains (1) and the value to AutoCRM tracked activity: LI Connection Request,Birdie tracked activity: LI Connection Request (2). Click Apply (3).

You would use different filters if you were measuring a different activity type.

Add another filter for Comments . This time the operator is does not contain (1) and the value is AutoCRM tracked activity: LI Connection Request Accepted,Birdie tracked activity: LI Connection Request Accepted (2).

For the LI Connection Request Accepted block, add a filter for Comments. The operator is contains and the value is AutoCRM tracked activity: LI Connection Request Accepted,Birdie tracked activity: LI Connection Request Accepted .

You would use different filters if you were measuring a different activity type.

Add a chart (1), open the chart settings (2), ensure that it's a bar chart (3), and then add a measure so that both blocks show up.

Click Save & Run .

When creating new blocks, you can set the following filters to measure all the different LinkedIn activity types that Birdie tracks.

There is a limit of 5 blocks per report i.e. you will only be able to view up to 5 LinkedIn activity types in a single report. This is a Salesforce limitation.

Connection Requests Sent
