Using Salesforce Sales Engagement Cadences
Birdie has first class support for LinkedIn steps in Salesforce Sales Engagement cadences. This means you can add LinkedIn steps (i.e. connection requests and InMails) to your Sales Engagement cadences and let Birdie do the heavy lifting of executing these steps for you.
Step 1: Create your cadences with LinkedIn steps in Salesforce
Birdie supports the LinkedIn steps Send connection request
and Send InMail
.
You can add these steps to your Salesforce cadences and Birdie will automatically execute them for you.
Message templates for connection requests
When creating a step for a connection request, you can add a template to include a personalized message with your connection request.
To do so, type your template into the textbox under Step Description
. Within the template, you can use standard template variables.
Message templates for InMails
Salesforce has built-in support for adding message templates to InMail steps. Birdie integrates with Salesforce’s native functionality, so you would create your message templates as you normally would.
If you don’t want to use a saved email template, you can also create a message template in the textbox underneath Step Description
.
The first line of the template should be Subject: <Your subject here>
. Replace <Your subject here>
with your desired title for your InMail.
After the first line, the remainder of the template will be used for the body of the InMail. Within the template, you can use standard template variables.
Step 2: Add people to a cadence
Once you have a cadence with supported LinkedIn steps, you can add prospects to it. In addition to adding people to a cadence using Salesforce’s built-in functionality, Birdie also allows you to cadence people directly from LinkedIn.
Adding a single person to a cadence
From someone’s LinkedIn profile, click on the add person icon on the right-hand side.
You will see a modal asking you which cadence to add this person to. Select your desired cadence and click OK
.
Bulk adding multiple people to a cadence
From a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search, you can select multiple people and then click Save
.
The Birdie Profile Exporter will appear. Towards the bottom, you will see a dropdown to optionally add these people to a cadence. Select your desired cadence and click View Profiles to Save
.
The Profile Exporter will add the people 1-by-1 and also enroll them in your selected cadence. Do not close this browser tab while this job is running. However, you can switch tabs and come back to it later to check on the progress.
Step 3: Execute your cadence steps
When your LinkedIn cadence steps come due, you can use Birdie to execute them and mark them as complete, which will automatically move people through their cadences.
