Executing LinkedIn Tasks

We recently updated how LinkedIn sequence steps and tasks are processed in the Task Runner. If you've used the Task Runner in the past, please read on to learn about the new and improved experience.

You may need to update Birdie to ensure that you're getting the latest feature set.

Birdie keeps track of all your due LinkedIn sequence steps and tasks and provides a streamlined experience to execute your tasks.

Prerequisites

You will need to have some LinkedIn tasks due. These tasks could Birdie sequence steps, CRM/SEP sequence steps, scheduled tasks, or Campaign tasks.

For CRM/SEP sequence steps, refer to the guides below for your specific CRM/SEP.

Check for due sequence steps

Every 2 hours, Birdie checks for your due LinkedIn tasks. You can also force Birdie to run this check by clicking on Birdie's menu icon, and then Check people in sequences .

The Task Runner will open and start loading the tasks in realtime.

Click Show more tasks  to load tasks into the Task Runner when they become ready to execute.

Note that you can start executing your tasks before all your tasks are ready to execute. Previously, you needed to wait for all tasks to finish loading before starting on them.

Automatically executed tasks

Birdie will automatically execute tasks that you have marked for auto execution. You will see an indicator when a task is being auto executed.

Manually executing tasks in the Task Runner

The Task Runner will display a list tasks that you need to manually execute. Within each task, there are number of actions you can take.

  1. Verify that the CRM and LinkedIn profiles match.
  2. Edit the contents of your message.
  3. Send, skip, or temporarily hide the task.

You can also click Send all  at the bottom of the Task Runner to execute all the currently shown tasks. Tasks that have not yet been loaded into the Task Runner will not be sent.

If you click Send all , do not close the browser tab that is executing your tasks. You can switch to another tab to do something else and come back when everything is finished.

Manually executing tasks via 1-on-1 messages

You can also manually execute message and InMail tasks when sending 1-on-1 messages. After the Message Composer is finished loading, you can use the buttons at the bottom of the Message Composer to execute or skip the task.

What happens when someone in a sequence responds?

This is only available for Birdie LinkedIn sequences, and not supported for CRM/SEP sequences.

If someone has responded to your sequence, Birdie will notify you in the Task Runner.

You can click on the reply icon to open the person's profile to send them a message. When you start typing a message to this person, Birdie will automatically remove this person from the sequence.
