Using Outreach Sequences

Birdie has first class support for LinkedIn steps in Outreach sequences. This means you can add LinkedIn steps (i.e. connection requests and InMails) to your Outreach sequences and let Birdie do the heavy lifting of executing these steps for you.

Step 1: Create your sequences with LinkedIn steps in Outreach

Birdie supports the LinkedIn steps LinkedIn: Send message and LinkedIn: Send connection request .

LinkedIn: Send message sends an InMail an LinkedIn: Send connection request sends a connection request.

You can add these steps to your Outreach sequences and Birdie will automatically execute them for you.

Message templates for connection requests

When creating a step for a connection request, you can add a template to include a personalized message with your connection request.

To do so, type your template into the textbox under Notes . Within the template, you can use standard template variables.

Message templates for InMails

Outreach has built-in support for adding message templates to InMail steps. Birdie integrates with Outreach’s native functionality, so you would create your message templates as you normally would.

One enhancement you get with Birdie is that in addition to using Outreach’s standard template variables, you can also use Birdie’s standard template variables.

Step 2: Add prospects to a sequence

Once you have a sequence with supported LinkedIn steps, you can add prospects to it. In addition to adding prospects to a sequence using Outreach’s built-in functionality, Birdie also allows you to sequence prospects directly from LinkedIn.

Adding a single prospect to a cadence

From someone’s LinkedIn profile, click on the add person icon on the right-hand side.

You will see a modal asking you which sequence to add this prospect to. Select your desired sequence and click OK .

Bulk adding multiple prospects to a sequence

From a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search, you can select multiple prospects and then click Save .

The Birdie Profile Exporter will appear. Towards the bottom, you will see a dropdown to optionally add these prospects to a sequence. Select your desired sequence and click View Profiles to Save.

The Profile Exporter will add the prospects 1-by-1 and also enroll them in your selected sequence. Do not close this browser tab while this job is running. However, you can switch tabs and come back to it later to check on the progress.

Step 3: Execute your sequence steps

When your LinkedIn sequence steps come due, you can use Birdie to execute them and mark them as complete, which will automatically move prospects through their cadences.
