Creating LinkedIn Templates and Sequences in Salesforce

Any individual user can create LinkedIn specific templates and sequences within the Chrome extension. Templates and sequences created in the Chrome extension stay private to the user and cannot be shared with team members.

However, you can also create templates and sequences directly in the Salesforce CRM application which can be shared with your team members.

Creating Templates

To create a LinkedIn specific template in Salesforce, create a new email template and click on the Description field (1). You will see a Birdie icon appear (2). Click on it and choose what type of template to create.

Next, paste in the description using cmd + v on macOS or ctrl + v on Windows.

In the body of the template, you can use Birdie's template variables. Please note that using Salesforce merge fields is not supported and will not work.

Creating Sequences

To create a LinkedIn specific sequence in Salesforce, open the Cadence Builder and click on the Description field (1). You will see a Birdie icon appear (2).

Click on the icon and then click on Birdie Sequence.

Paste in the description by typing cmd + v on macOS and ctrl + v on Windows.

Within the sequence, you can add connection requests and custom steps. Custom steps will be interpreted as a LinkedIn message that gets sent after the initial connection request has been accepted. For example, in the screenshot below, step 1 is a connection request, and steps 2 and 3 are LinkedIn messages.

Within each step, you can write a template for the step in the Description field. You can use Birdie's template variables to do so.
