LinkedIn Worker Browser Tab

As a Chrome extension, Birdie requires a browser tab with LinkedIn open in order to function. Keeping such a browser tab open at all times is beneficial because it allows Birdie to run the background jobs that automate your LinkedIn outreach. These background jobs include:

  1. Checking your CRM/SEP sequence steps to see who you need to send a connection request, message, or InMail to.
  2. Related to above, automatically sending your LinkedIn sequence steps when they come due.
  3. Checking your scheduled connection requests or messages to see which requests/messages are due to be sent.
  4. Checking your LinkedIn inbox and profile views to notify you if anybody in your CRM has recently engaged with you.
  5. Suggesting people to connect with based on past emails and calls in your CRM.
  6. Automatically inviting your 1st degree connections to follow your company's LinkedIn page.

By default, Birdie will ensure that there is at least one browser tab open that can be dedicated to running your background jobs. If this worker tab does not exist, Birdie will create one in a separate Chrome window and minimize the window so that it is out of your way.

If you want to turn this feature off, you can click Turn this off . You can also open Birdie's settings, click on Optional Settings (1), and change the option Should Birdie always keep LinkedIn open in your browser? to No (2).

Turning this feature off will prevent you from taking full advantage of Birdie's automation features. In addition, certain workflows, such as having Birdie check your due CRM sequence steps, will take more time to complete.
